In this way we are able to detect caries before carietic defect appears, that requires traditional treatment by means of dental burs. Ozonotherapy uses oxidizing activity of ozone, which eliminates caries causing bacteria. The ozonizer takes oxygen from the air and turns it into ozone. Then the ozone is delivered to the proper tooth by means of special sleeve. The tooth is surrounded with silicone cap ensuring total isolation. The treatment lasts about several seconds and eliminates 99,9% of bacteria. Moreover, after treatment every patient receives special preparations causing enamel’s remineralization for everyday use. In the most cases of roots and furrows decays remineralization process and hardening occurs in 4-12 weeks.
What is more, ozone can be used to cure effectively postextraction pain, herpes and difficult-healing wounds. Pregnant women can also undergo ozonotherapy.
